I am a Human Science Major from Western NY. Besides my involvement in the Nelson Lab, I am also a Teaching Assistant for Human Biology. If I'm not working in the Discovery Center in some aspect then I'm probably singing with my Acapella group, Georgetown Superfood. When I'm back home over summers and breaks, I also have the privilege of working as a Front End Manager at Wegmans, the best grocery store. |
Prior to my time at Georgetown, my research focused on Gastrointestinal Bleeding management techniques throughout the US. My current work with Dr. Nelson explores the use of expressing MiniSog, a singlet oxygen generator, as a means of cellular ablation. Particularly, I am attempting to express MiniSog in the ASER of C. Elegans, in an effort to explore the role of the ASER in salt attraction and aversion pathways. |
